When it is boiled down, SEO marketing is a website popularity campaign that uses popular keywords to educate the search engine on your site's content. Using tools such as blogs, online articles, and social networking sites, your site becomes more significant to search engines and easier to find. Also addressed in these campaigns are the limitations of the search engines as they crawl and index the Internet. Such limitations include not being able to recognize all the terms and information conveyed by rich media such as flash and photos. What Is SEO? Find Out About On Page SEO

This is a common question among new web entrepreneurs or people working to make money online. Now what exactly is SEO?
SEO or Search Engine optimization is what people and companies use to tweak and boost their websites up the Search Engine Results Page (SERP for brief). If you want to get organic search traffic from google, bing or yahoo then you're going to need to manage to do SEO properly to acquire yourself on top of the first page of google and purchase that #1 listing. What's SEO might be broken down into 2 main categories. On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO. These are generally vastly different but both of them are equally important towards the search engines.

What's SEO - On-Page Optimization

On-page optimization will be the first step in setting up a search engine friendly post or page on your site. What you do here could have a huge effect on your site so it's important to get the basics or the foundation for your posts right and that will make the Off-Page stuff count for more. So what is seo on-page optimization and how do you do it? According to where you learn this your answer will vary greatly, on the other hand will share the techniques I use for this very site which helped me to rank my pages and posts better. They are H tags (H1, H2, H3), text formatting, pictures (and alt tags), videos, keyword density, url, external linking and internal linking. These factors can play a major part in optimizing your on-page SEO. Should you look at this very page you will see that I have used most of these factors.

The title for my post is often a H1 tag. The subtitles on the page must be H2 and H3 tags, so you have all 3 tags covered at least once on your own page. You will need that the phrase "what is SEO" to have text formatting; namely it can be bolded, italicized and underlined at least on the page. I additionally would have images on the page with my keyword as the file name, title in the image and ALT tag from the image also. There'd be a video on the page. My keyword density for that phrase "What is SEO" is around 1% (anywhere from 1-5% is good although 2-4% is right). The link to the page has got the keyword in it. Normally I'd have an external link using my keyword to an authority site (oftentimes I just link to google or Wikipedia). The very last thing you want to consider is internal linking. For basic internal linking its good to generate a link towards the bottom of each post or page to a relevant post or page on your own site. Most of these things let google or any search results that this page is focused on "What Is SEO". This can help tremendously when it comes to ranking plus if you're likely to be using eBay auctions on your site it will let google know what types of ads to show..
